PIENAAR SET FOR EVERTON STAY

Moyes set to make Pienaar deal permanent.
By Daniel Gregory 25/02/07

After impressing for the blues during his loan spell so far this season, Steven Pienaar looks to have won himself a permanent deal. David Moyes has revealed there is an agreement in the Pienaar loan deal that gives Everton the option to buy the South African playmaker at the end of the season.

The fee is believed to be around the £2.5million mark, and if the deal goes through I doubt any Evertonians will be complaining. Pienaar has been another top find by Moyes and £2.5million would represent another shrewd signing by the Scot.

I for one would be delighted to see Pienaar back at Goodison next season, especially at such a good price, and although there is slight room for improvement, I feel Pienaar will only get better if given assurances on his future.

I would get the deal done if I was Moyesey and leave the loan deal in the past. Reward the lad for his good form, and above all his commitment, and I am sure he will only improve.

Another top signing made by Moyes, I don't know how he does it but he seems to have a 6th sense in the transfer market, and consistently manages to find top quality players, that seem to always fit in (with the exception of VDM), for a reasonable price.
