Cahill injury fears

Cahill could be out for rest of the season

It is feared that Everton midfielder Tim Cahill could be out for the rest of the season, after becoming apparent that the Australian ace could have suffered a re-occurence of his old metatarsal injury.

Cahill (right) limped out of the Blues dissapointing 1-1 draw against West Ham Utd at Goodison last week after David Moyes took a gamble on the players fitness, which backfired on the Scot.

It now looks like Cahill has taken a knock on the same troubled area that kept him out for a prolonged spell earlier in the season.

Cahill has been in fine form since returning from his previous injury, bagging ten goals and playing a huge role in Everton's success in the Premier League and in the Eufa Cup.

Cahill will definately miss this weekend's derby clash at Anfield, and missed Australia's fixture with China in the week.
