Moyes contract talks to wait until end of the season

Moyes to concentrate on finishing the season strongly

David Moyes has revealed that he will meet the board of directors at the end of the season to hamer out new contract talks.

Rumours were rife in the tabloid press that Moyes was leaving the talks until the end of the season in hope a bigger club will come calling for his services, but Moyes cleared up any worries for Evertonians after the Portsmouth game, saying he will open talks over a new deal at the end of the season as he doesn't want anything to distract him or the team from attaining their objectives and finishing the season strongly.

Moyes is the third longest serving manager in the Premier League, behind Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, after being with the club for 6 years, joining from Preston North End after narrowly missing out on promotion with the Lancashire club on several occasions.

The news that Moyes is going to open new talks is fantastic for the club, after doing a great job in turning the blues from relegation battlers to european challengers.
